Ways You Can Support Your Library
Public funding enables LaGrange to be a responsive community resource; the private donations of a generous, dedicated community make LaGrange Association Library an exceptional resource. Please keep LaGrange Association Library exceptional with your gift. Donors are recognized in the Annual Report (unless anonymity is requested). Donations may be made online, by mail, or in person. We accept PayPal, checks payable to LaGrange Association Library, or cash. Contributions to LaGrange Association Library, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Annual Fund
Public funds alone do not provide for the many programs and services our constituents require. Your donation, whatever the amount, helps us to meet the informational, educational, cultural, and entertainment needs of the community. You may designate your contribution for a specific service area or program, if you so choose.
Capital Campaign
The Library’s Capital Campaign is underway for building expansion and renovation to provide optimal services to all ages in the LaGrange community. The current physical plant has the capacity to expand into nearly 4,000 square feet of available space to add a much-needed children’s program room, toddler play area, increased collection space for adult and youth materials, a larger Community Room, quiet study areas, a passport application office, and more.
Donors of $1,000 or more receive an engraved leaf on our Donor Tree; naming rights are available at higher donation levels. Refer to our Naming Rights Policy for additional information. Memorial Gifts
Consider making a donation in honor or memory of a friend or loved one. We will inform the individual or family of your thoughtful gesture and include the honorary/memorial information in the donor recognition.
Another option is to make a Buy-a-Book donation (ranging from $20 to $1,500+), which purchases new books for the Library in your name or in memory/honor of someone you choose. A permanent book plate with the donor or designee’s name is placed inside the front cover of the book(s). Charitable Bequests
Designating LaGrange Association Library as a beneficiary in your will ensures an exceptional Library for future generations. Bequests (and other forms of planned gifts) have an enduring impact on Library programs and services and provide for long-term growth. Matching Gifts
Many corporations will match contributions made to non-profit organizations by current or retired employees. Call your human resources department to find out if and how they will match your gift to LaGrange Association Library.
