NOVELNY is one of the resources we provide for patrons, and it is invaluable for research. 

It provides free access to fifteen different databases, ranging from Business & Finance to Newspapers. Academic databases are also available, including Opposing Viewpoints in Context, a database widely used by High School students. All you need is a library card and the wide world of research is open to you!
Memoir Book Sale

The Friends of the LaGrange Library are holding a "March Memoir Madness" biography, autobiography and memoir book sale during the month of March.

Just one dollar will buy four paperback memoirs and each hardcover memoir is just $0.50!

Want to try something new? Join Food for Thought, a book club exclusively for cookbook lovers! We'll meet every other month to discuss recipes we've tried and cookbooks we've used relating to that month's theme, and sample recipes that participants bring in to share. Discussions will also take place on our Facebook page and Instagram account, but you're not obligated to participate online. The theme for February is Pies and the theme for April is Cakes! This program is coordinated jointly by Anna Mondello, Adult Programmer and Mary Wickham, Youth Programmer and is open to all ages - children, teens and adults.

Estate Planning

A common misconception around estate planning is that either it's too early or too late; neither are true. Those with young children should have properly drafted documents in order to protect minor children. An elder law attorney can implement a plan, even at the last minute, to save someone's assets while also achieving Medicaid eligibility in a nursing home. Attorney Salvatore Di Costanzo will be on hand to explain estate planning, wills, trusts, Medicaid, long-term care planning, guardianship, as well as answer any questions.  This program, which was originally scheduled for 2/11/19, has been rescheduled to 3/18/19.
