Come explore various scientific topics with our Youth Librarian, Mary Wickham. Learn about simple machines, friction, the human body, and circuits, through hands-on experiments and demonstrations by our summer Teen Geeks. Snacks are provided!
For children in grades 1-3.

The LaGrange Library's passport acceptance desk is up and running! We can help any newcomer through the process and have forms for any circumstance, whether it is your first passport or your fifth. Make sure to bring two checks - the payments to the library and the Department of State are separate.

Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are accepted if there is space in the schedule.

Canine Book Nook



Reading to dogs can boost reading skills and self-confidence in children as well as help with emotional and social skills. Many children are self-conscious and hesitant when reading out loud, but when they read stories to a dog they are less stressed and actually find it enjoyable! Joan O'Neill, a volunteer with Therapy Dogs International along with Lucy, her canine reading partner, are available for 15 minute reading sessions in the Children's Room. Lucy is a good listener! So bring along your favorite book and share a story with a furry friend.

This month Lucy is coming on July 20th & July 27th, which are the third and fourth Thursdays of the month.
