LaGrange Association Library
1110 Route 55, LaGrangeville
|
|
|
Thanks
to generous funding from Dutchess County, the Library now has 2 early
literacy learning computers, 6 early literacy learning tablets, and 10
additional early literacy kits (all pictured below) for our young
patrons and their families.
The
stations and tablets, geared towards ages 2 through 8, contain a
variety of fun, educational, and engaging software that teaches and
reinforces concepts in the areas of science, technology, reading,
engineering, arts, and math. While children just think they are having
fun, important skills are being cultivated to support school readiness
and success.
The
early literacy kits are geared towards pre-schoolers and up and may be
checked out of the Library. Each colorful bag contains books, games,
puzzles, DVDs, and other materials about a specific topic. With 16 bags
in total now at the Library, children can learn about space, bugs,
dinosaurs, food, yoga, and so much more!
